Dreams La Romana Summary
Ideal for: Wedding couples travelling with guests of all ages wanting to entrust their wedding into the hands of experts while seeking a luxurious resort offering al fresco dining, incredible views, and intimate wedding locations away from prying eyes.
We love Dreams La Romana. Situated along the quieter southern Coast of the Dominican Republic and facing the gently lapping the Caribbean Sea. It is an excellent resort with many beautiful qualities. So, it’s definitely worthy of its five stars and its trip advisor ‘Travellers’ Choice Award.’ We love that the resort is spread out and much of it is open to the balmy ocean breeze. You’ll wander amongst the beautifully landscaped gardens populated with colourful orchids while crossing paths with the resident pink flamingos.
Furthermore, there’s much to do here with even the youngest and eldest members of your party. Children will love the ‘Explorers Club’ which operates day and night bringing fun by way of sports, games, treasure hunts, film nights and even camp outs on the beach. Dining here is a social affair with many restaurant options. Again, we love that most offer al fresco dining notably the jungle themed restaurant which sits on the white powder sand with twinkly lights hanging from the palms and the Seafood restaurant with unrivalled views of the sun setting over the ocean. Add to this an extensive list of elegant lounges and bars and the infamous ‘Coco Café’ which serves the most delicious morning coffees and pastries.
Dreams are renowned for creating spectacular weddings, and the team here are no different. There are a variety of locations here but for those seeking a little more privacy. Also, we recommend either the lovely white wooden gazebo which sits with the ocean on one side and an expanse of landscaped garden on the other, or the rustic wooden pagoda which sits on a raised section of sand with the water lapping close by. Both offer an idyllic location from which to enjoy cocktails and canapés after your ceremony while watching the sunset right behind – a wedding photographer’s dream!
