Impressive cliffs and rolling dunes frame a unique set of colours. The sand is a lovely light pink, and the sea shifts from lapis to azure to shimmering pale turquoise at Crane Beach in Diamond Valley. Historically, the Crane was famed as one of the few shipping ports on the rugged South Coast. It is famed for its fishing fleet that caught its own particular fish. Also, it was a bathing resort that was virtually the sanatorium of the West Indies. With its spectacular setting high above the beach, the Crane Resort has been a favourite of honeymooners since it opened in 1867.
