Firstly, it opened in late 2007, and this all-inclusive, family-friendly resort is located at Punta Coral, just outside the town of Puerto Morelos in the heart of the Riviera Maya. Cancun is only 30 minutes to the north, and Playa del Carmen is 30 minutes to the south.

So, Ocean Coral and Turquesa have four swimming pools, a children’s pool, tennis courts, and a fitness centre. A daytime activities program gives guests plenty of opportunities to exercise and play different sports. The Miniclub Daisy provides complimentary childcare during the day. There is a watersports centre with windsurfers, snorkelling gear, and sailing equipment—all included in the rate. Scuba diving, tours to local Mayan ruins, and other recreational centres are available for an extra fee. The on-site Metamorphosis day spa offers a range of relaxing treatments, plus a thermal bath, sauna, and steam room.
Also, nightly shows feature live performances at the resort theatre. Shopping is available in several boutiques and a convenience store. Groups can congregate in the hotel’s convention centre, which houses four meeting rooms and two large theatres.
