work in travel so originally decided to plan my wedding in Mexico on my own. After a few weeks of frustration with slow or no responses from hotels, I contacted My Wedding Away for some help with the wedding planning and the booking of rooms. Heidi promptly returned my call at 9am the following morning and spoke to me about my requirements. I had a selection of hotels on my wish list but the room prices were quite expensive, so I explained this. Julia Faulks contacted me later that afternoon to discuss my requirements and then went about getting prices for the hotels I was interested in. Within a few days I received an email with prices and options, she also recommended that I look into Barceló Riviera Maya Grand Resort. Julia explained that she had planned weddings there before and their service was brilliant, their room prices were also much more competitive than the ones I had on my list. The more I looked into it, the more I was swaying towards the Barceló. We visited the hotel in July 2018 and decided that here is where we wanted to get married due to the size of the hotel, the wedding venues and options, and the vast facilities. Julia negotiated fantastic room rates and efficiently booked our 76 guests into the hotel; she also got great transfer rates and booked these for us too. Throughout my whole experience Julia was professional, friendly and efficient and she removed the stress of booking a destination wedding.
Our wedding was perfect, we had five events over three days, the venues were stunning and the décor, DJ, lighting, and mendhi, hair and make-up artists were spot on! I thoroughly recommend Julia and My Wedding Away; you’ll experience a seamless service throughout. Thank you so much for making the planning and wedding so amazing and enjoyable.
